Accordion diesel, double bass chassis, Cinder Conk plays Balkan power jams with tight curves and rumble strips. Drawing from a deep well of Serbian, Romanian, and Bulgarian dance music and song, Matthew Schreiber (accordion) and Xar Adelberg (bass) take you places rarely heard this side of the Danube.

Cinder Conk has shared the stage with Slavic Soul Party, Petar Ralchev, Beat Circus, Fishtank Ensemble, and Toughcats; played at Bates College (ME) and WDVX Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, festivals including the sold out Free Range Music Festival and Downeast Folkdance Festival and Common Ground Fair, Balkan Night in Concord Mass, Laconia Multicultural Fest in NH, Oktoberfest in Bethelhem PA, BARBES and the Zlatne Uste Golden Festival in Brooklyn NY.

Their debut CD, Kukeri, was released in spring 2011.
